FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?

Life is a series of moments, not images. As a photographer I have to feel the present moment, feel the surrounding area, the atmosphere and the subject itself. When I'm on the scene I always move, choose different angles and take lots of photos. This helps me to create a beautiful, timeless series of photos for my clients. Check out my portfolio to find out what lies beneath a secret.

To sum up, there is no single formula for making a great photos but rather a few factors such as the overall photographer experience, skills and professional enthusiasm.

What do you love most about your job?

I have been photographing weddings for a few years now. I can tell that each and every wedding is unique and beautiful in its way.

I love witnessing the emotion and the laughter, meeting new people and ultimately I am always honoured to capture so many love stories.

For me being a wedding photographer is far more than a simple job or service. It's my passion. When I see the reaction of my clients after showing them their wedding photos it is priceless. It motivates me to produce even more beautiful images.

Why should our clients choose you?

  • Many years of professional wedding photography experience (5+ years).
  • I'm unobtrusive and friendly. I'm almost like a guest with a camera!
  • I shoot in documentary style but I will direct you gently during the portraits. I love sending B&W images, too.
  • Developed my photography style. Throughout many years working as a wedding and elopement photographer, I develop my style, as well as a set of various presets which help me to produce beautiful and unique photos. I shoot in raw. So it gives me more flexibility for photo editing. I edit photos myself. Personally, ensure each photo is the best it can be, it is beautifully cropped and adjusted, the colour and exposure are just right, to ensure that each photo that goes into your album shares a beautiful moment and as a collection tells a magical and romantic story.
  • High-tech professional camera equipment. I use Sony Alpha mirrorless cameras with the latest advanced unique eye-priority focusing. And of course various full-frame lenses and other essential equipments.
  • Never let down any of my clients. Documenting such an important event in people’s life journeys is a huge responsibility. So I always come prepared mentally, physically and in terms of my equipment.
  • A long list of overjoyed clients. Search for 'Ramis Karamatov Photography' on Google to see the rating and all reviews.

Are you able to help us with our run sheet or advise us on the timings?

Absolutely. I will pop together an ideal photography run sheet before the wedding, but I can also advise you on portrait locations, the best time of day to shoot portraits, and overall how things tend to run on a wedding day (especially based on how many guests you are having). Leading up to the day, if you have questions about timings when make-up needs to start, etc, I am here to help!

What information do you need from us before the wedding day?

Before the day, as a photographer I will need to know all the logistics: the exact time and place of your ceremony and reception; where you’re getting ready and what time you’re leaving on the morning; when the speeches and cake cutting will be; what time the first dance is and what the lighting will be like. The more information I have, the better. During the initial enquiry stages, the basic timeline of the day should be enough.

Can we meet up in person before booking in?

Absolutely! I’m a big fan of catching up with all of my couples and making sure we are all on the same page before making it official. I'm also happy to arrange a phone call or Zoom chat.

Can I read testimonials from some of your clients?

Yes, absolutely! Read the Google reviews

If you do a slideshow can we see an example?

You sure can! Here is the slideshow from Irem & Rob's gorgeous wedding at Hackney Town Hall / Hackney Coffee Company and their images can be viewed here.
